Volunteer Marine Rescue (VMR) North Stradbroke is one step closer to becoming part of Marine Rescue Queensland (MRQ) following its members unanimously voting to join MRQ. 

The members’ vote was held before an 'MRQ Get Ready' event on 9 February 2025. During the event, volunteers were assisted with membership applications, consent forms, Blue Cards forms and uniform fittings and orders. 

Volunteers are excited to be transitioning in early April and the unit will be known as MRQ North Stradbroke. 

The MRQ team is looking forward to another VMR unit joining the family.
